I have been guiding now for about two weeks. Still dealing with very unstable conditions but the fishing has been pretty good. Not pulling huge numbers like last year but have been getting very respectable fish in the 12-20 pound range. Things are finally starting to settle down so it should only get better over the next couple weeks.

Farthest south I have fished the red river is the flood gates in south Winnipeg.
The goldeye are just moving in here right now. Hitting hard. |

Water is still high..... all the locks are open in Lockport. Will see if I can get a pic today for you. I've got an hour to kill so I am stocking up on goldeye.

Hard pickin right now. Perhaps I can put my kids to work, now finding them close to home. See what I can do, no promises on frogs though

whats the good word from up north? I have my goldeyes caught and my rods ready. I am shutting down the guide service for five days to head north for some kitties eh. See you Thursday.
