I have my 7000i on a ugly stik (CAL110266) 6'6" MH 10-25 line. I like the rod and reel just not sure I like them together. the rod seems a little light for the reel. what might be a better match for the 7000i that doesnt feel like a broom stick?

the 2nd gen catfights have a good tip(in between moderate and fast action). But what kind of fishing are you doing. i am a liitle biased towards the quantum big cats heavy action they have a lot less tip(slower action). we need a little more info as far as what you a re fishing for and what style of fishing you are using

im bank fishing I need a rod with good sensitive tip but enough backbone to chuck a 3 oz sinker. the ugly stick I have has an awesome tip but is definitely too light to chuck a sinker heavier than 1 oz. I use a slip rig with a 3/4oz to 3 oz egg sinker. I'm using live bait usually a samll carp, blue gil or large shad I also use crawfish and water dogs if the lake has live bait restrictions.
