Exactly how much better or worse would a 7' M/H Ugly stik Tiger be than an 8' M/H Ugly Cat? Is it worth the $25 extra? It's gonna be paired with an Alphamar 16 with 80-100lb braid for the Missouri River.

Not a question of better or worse. The term Medium heavy is a bit confusing.
The 8' M/H Ugly Cat is a nice all around rod. It has a line rating of Line Rating 15-30 lb.
The 7' M/H Ugly stik Tiger is what you are looking for if you need a big cat rod. Line Rating 30-60 lb.

I have a cast net and a Min-O2-Life bucket so I'll probably be using live shad or perch/bluegill. So I'm guessing flathead and blues will be what I catch. So I'm guessing the tiger will be what I need? |

The mediym heavy is what you need. It will be a solid good all around rod for big cats. Cant beat the price either.

anymore I don't even look at the action of the rod ,just the rating,15-30lb rated rods are good for channel cats imo,for big fish i like a 20-40 thur 40-60 line rated rod.imo the tigers are one of the best big fish store bought rods there is.
