I'm new to catfishing as of this year and the simple clinch knots I use for walleyes, aren't going to work when I set the hook on a big Flathead. What kind of knot should I be using to tie my main line onto my swivel, and then my leader onto my swivel? I typically use 40lb braided. Thank you much.

Palomar on top Trilene on bottom

So use a Trilene for the leader, and the Palomar for the main line?

I use a Palomar for everything except my hook.....I snell it.
