Has anyone tried these Gama Big River Bait hooks? They seem like they are meant to be used as J-Hooks with live bait? I only use circle hooks but I was looking for them and couldn't find them. So I just grabbed a couple packs of Lazer Sharp Circle Seas. But are the big Rivers any good?

The big rivers are great for giant live baits. I have a couple packs in my tackle bag for them nights im fishing for mr big. Ive hooked up 2+ pound carp, bass and channel cats. I have the 10/0s.

I just use them for large baits. I believe they make smaller sizes also. The 10/0 and 12/0s are real big. Similar to a sickle style of hook.

I just like the big gap when im wanting to fish big baits in a j style of hook.
