I know that Flatheads are very sensitive to light and we have had greens and yellow glow sticks mess us up time and time again, but I was wandering is a purple glow stick would work because I have heard Flatheads are a lot less sensitive to black/purple light and red light a lot less than a normal bright light... ive always wanted to fish with a bobber for Flatheads but i don't have a good way to light up my floats

I have never noticed a difference when using green glow sticks. Fish dont seem to mind at all. I use long ones too.

It may depend on water depth but I have never notice a problem, but I use green any time I use a bobber at night so I have nothing to compare it to. But I know it makes no difference with channels. I catch a lot of channels fishing only 2ft deep under a bobber.
