I purchased a black n blue rod from catfish gear usa.It is7'6 n m/h act. 20-60 lb line n it works beautifuly for bank fishing in a big lake.Has anyone else used this pole.I'm torn between purchaseing another or getting a catfight takedown rod.could I get some knowledgeable advice.Ill be using an alphamar 16.thanks.

I used to have quite a few of them. Really liked the action of the rod. The takedown in my honest opinion is the better rod. The black and blues are not stainless eyes but chrome plated and wears off after time. For the money your getting more with the take down rod.

Thanks skipp for the advice I do belive ill puchase a take down rod if they ever get some more.

yea i have also wore out a few of the black and blues. for the money though i wouldnt get another. there are better options out there. i am really rough on gear though. i always wore the clear coat off of them

What other rods r there beter than the bnbluues for 100$ or less besides the takedown edition n the beef stick. Please. Help me out.

quantum big cat, surge trophy cat, shakespeare power rod, tangling with catfish rods, the original catfight rod.
bud there are lots of rods that are on par with the black and blue. not saying one is really better than the other but they are def as good as them

Today me n afew friends went out n tried each others rigs they had the ugly stick catfish- the quan.big cat nevary other store bought cat rod nothing came close to my black n blue n cat chaser rod not abeef stick shaksphear tiger or shimano.they all felt generic unpredictable n boring.everyone wanted my customs so I don't know, I believe something is to be said for hand made quality ...

those are a production rod brother, not custom they just put that in the name. just like the ugly stick custom.
there are many other rods that use the exact same blank
