I got out with another fellow catfisherman for a couple hours tuesday. We started the trip smallie fishing and was pretty successful. With the Full Blue Moon that night we decided to start fishing early. With Cut shad and sucker, the final hour of daylight didnt disappoint!!!! Bite shut off after dark, never have luck til after 2am on full moons so we left at 10:30pm. Also would like to say this is the second PB broken this year. I broke mine back in July and got his new one of 37 lbs! Im hoping this is a sign of things to come with the water soon to be cooling off!   |

Thanks guys, ryan's best flathead was 15#. And in 3 trips i hadnt put him on a good one. I stoked to see him land a 37#. I was starting to wonder if i was cursed to fish alone this year. By myself i have 7 fish over 20#, 1 in the 30s, and 1 over 40. Fishing with Steve, Caleb and Ryan largest fish has been 20#s. Hoping September is going to be good fishing. The larger fish seem to be waking up

Congratulations on the big flatheads. We have also been
struggling in search of big fish. I keep waiting for the
predators to thin the shad population to a point where
flathead have to hunt but it is so slow that Chad calls the lakes
the dead sea.
