Got out and hammered channels and bass for couple hours yesterday afternoon waiting on it to get dark. Once it got dark i hit a 11 pound flathead almost right away. Then the wait began, i was beginning to think about packing up. When my rod went on a slow run. I picked up the rod let him run a little bit and popped him. Felt like i hooked a car. Doing the typical large flathead fight hugging bottom. I wasnt dictating the fight he was. Immediately i knew he was over 30#s. After 10 minutes and i finally landed this brute. Wish i had a pic holding him, but CPR is the same either way!  |
