Throwing the net today I caught a wide variety of fish. More than usual.I caught saugeye, crappie, bluegill, shad, muskie, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, even a striped bass, and a carp. All fingerlings. I was impressed to see so many different species. That was the first time I've ever caught a striped bass in my net. I also caught a sucker. Not sure what kind. First time I've seen a baby sucker. It was extremely long and tiger stripes. I thought it was a muskie at first but when i was trying to get it out of the net i noticed it's mouth. I've never caught a sucker before or heard of any in this area. I hope to see more though. Was just wondering what type this was. I didnt think to take a picture. Just wanted to hurry up and get it back in the water. But i do hope to see more of these. Some pics of suckers would be helpful too(of little ones).

Where are you located mexicanthreat? There are quite a few sucker species, and a bunch of minnow species that look very similar to some suckers. Small suckers are especially tough to distinguish. Get a picture of it?

There is a website that lists all the common Ohio fish species, with detailed info on each fish, and pictures. I don't recall the name of the site, but have it saved somewhere. I can try to find it if you're interested.

Tiger stripes sounds like a description of the ones we catch sometimes. I'm not sure, but I think it's the first one Kip showed, the Northern Hog Sucker

its stripes where wide. I figured it was a hognose when i caught it. it just threw me off cause of how long an skinny it was. Sorry no pics. I was at Charles mill on the lake at the Ramp. But I've never caught one there or pleasant hill for that matter. I've never even heard of anyone catching a hognose there. And as for the redhorse, Whats the difference from a sheephead
