maybe someone threw an aquarium fish out. we got an oscar in the net once I was thinkin that could be possible but his color was too fluent with the other fish. maybe i can get into more and prove their moving into the area. that would be great

Yeah kip that almost helps.......lol. they still look almost the same. Yellow fins, same shape, same mouth. I'll just do some research. Either way I never get any in the net, That can be used for bait.

I caught another one and took a pic this time. I caught quit a few of them. In the bright light you can see a bunch of little stripes. but without the flash it wouldn't show up on camera. in regular light it only has three stripes that are wide just like in kips picture of a hognose. the other is a striper. Vicious little thing. Everytime i touch it, it would turn and bite me with snake like speed.

I think you may be right, good call. it has the tell tail black spot in the center of the base of the tail. You get them down your way? I would have never found it. that list is way too long to look through. especialy with friends on page like this to ask.

yeah I've never seen them before until two weeks ago. Now i get them everytime i go out for bait in that same area. It just sucks they dont get big enough to use as bait. And they are way too fragile.

Yep that's a log perch. I sometimes even catch the 4" ones on wax worm in the creeks and also catch them in the castnet at the lake. Not much of a bait fish.
