Got me some of the Charlie brown hooks from big dave. and tried them out last weekend They worked great.
I didn't get into any flatties. but i did find plenty of decent channels. A 5.12, a 4.7 and several threes.
I fished until i ran out of bait which was about 2:30 or so. was a nice night slouched down on a blanket leaning against my backpack as a pillow.
But now my new alpamar 16 just came in. And I know some of you have gave up on flatties for the year. But not me. I am ready to go. Gonna hit the water sunday night. And will continue to do so until the Ice says no more. Gonna take the boat out this time so i can fish deeper holes. If I can find em now that its getting colder, next year should be a breeze.
