I saw an illustration in a book that showed a saltwater rig that attached a heavy sinker to the line with a sinker slide/fish finder. I was thinking about buying a few, but wanted some reviews first. My use for them would be to attach large bank sinkers to my line, it seems that a lot of my bank sinkers aren't exactly smooth inside the eye which cuts my line. My friend actually quit using them after loosing a couple fish. Attachments:

Sean
You can really appreciate sinker slides when fishing rivers.
Different areas may require different sized sinkers and changing is a snap.
I use them on the James and although I doubt the big sinkers would deter the blue cats there, I do believe the sliders keep the big fish from using the weights for levearge to pop a hook out.

Sean, the ones you have pictured in your post are the ones that everyone talks about that the lines cut through (especially with braid) and the eyes break off easily!!! Dave carries the ones that hold up better than any I have seen yet. Here is a Pic:

I agree with these guys. I have used them for years, makes changing out sinkers easy without having to retie your rig everytime.

Thanks for the advice. I'll definitely send Dave an order and stock up before spring really sets in.
