OK Wednesday is my Bday and I want to go out either Wednesday or Thur/Fri/Sat or a couple of those days. I have Wednesday - Sunday off so Im looking for a decent place to go. Will I be able to get some shad at Dillon Dam to fish the Muskegum somewhere or do I need to go elsewhere.

Gary the Muskingum is very high right now might want to look for some backwaters or eddies.

Gary
I layed an eyeball on Dillon yesterday and I can't see the lake or the river getting fishable by Wed. In fact it might even be dangerous attempting to net shad at the spillway.
Salt Fork may be your best bet to even get a few channel cats although it is a bit muddy still. If you know any farm ponds with cats that might be the best bet.

I may go to Alum then its a little closer to me and I havnt been there in a while. Im not sure where to get shad there (I think off of Howard Rd but not sure at this point) otherwise Ill just use worms for bluegill or something like that. Hoover is closer but Ive never had any good luck there.

Along the riprap bank at ALum by the Howard rd. bridge is a good spot for shad Gary, also in the cove just north of the bridge produces also.

Cool thanks Kip I couldnt remember where you said it was. As it stands I havnt decided yet where Im going to go LOL I may go to the pond at Dillon Dam since its still flowing real good and its merged with the river I would think that there should be something in there. Or to Alum either by the Cheshire bridge or Howard Rd.
