ok i just got done scrubbing it almost 4 hours worth of scrubbing and the inside of the barrel is spotless minus just a couple stains from what ever was in it,I got the baking soda in it right now .They are no fumes or nothing just a slight smell of what ever was in it.Im thinking about soaking it one more day.or until monday. But guys if it still has a slight smell monday do you think it is safe enough to go ahead and start running the plumbing and setting up the filters etc and fill it with water for some bait fish?

the real issue is the water may pull whatever it was out of the plastic for quite sometime still

i also bought some tetra safestart and some aquarium chlorine remover etc and im buying a 500 gallon per an hour canister filter, 2 sponge filters, 2 6 inch bubble bars and 2 1200 power heads.you think allthat would keep the bait alive and how many bait fish u reckon i can fit in a 55 gallon drum?
