Hey there,
I'm Dustin Whitlock from Millington,TN. I'm a 22yo pharmacy tech and avid outdoorsman. I have just found the excitement of tournament catfishing this past weekend at the Seaark Invitational in Owensboro, KY. I am now hooked on the excitement of seeing rods bent and drag running. However I am not capable of traveling much because of my job and gas. I am starting to research how to start a club of my own or of Tennessee's own catfish association. It would allow TN anglers the chance to participate in catfish tournaments as well as take steps to create an organization that can make strives to improving the quality of Tennessee's water systems for catfish. I am currently stuck (for tournament purposes) in finding sponsorships to host tournament, only because I do not know how that works. If anyone knows how to put on tournaments it would be greatly appreciated for any advice. I have contact/connections with the medical industry in Memphis, TRWA officials, Shelby county sheriffs department, and a few local outdoors stores. How do I approach companies to sponsor a tournament.
