Well I got skunked. I tried six different spots including the bays. I had no problem catching bait. The only run I had was on a smaller sunfish in a spot that was inside the park. I think it may have been a channel because it dropped it before I even touched my rod and never came back. I really don't know what I did wrong. I've never been skunked, but I've also never fished for flathead in a lake.

You may have done nothing wrong, if you had live bait out all night and was in a productive spot, that's all you can do.

Yeah most likely nothing wrong. Lakes are just rougher than rivers.
