What does everyone use for wooden gig poles. I see all kinds of fish gigs on the net but never any poles.

I don't gig fish, but I do frog gig a lot. I just use a wooden push broom stick.

Sorry nobody here gigs for catfish. We mostly practice CPR. and every now and then a good fish fry. But only when they are caught by rod and reel.

We don't gig catfish either but gigging is still fun. Mostly carp and suckers.

we frog gig a lot too i like a telescopic handle for a paint roller
