Has anyone had good luck on shiners for catfish on the Missouri? Called around Herrmann, Mo. trying to find live bait and all I can find is worms and shiners

Here in northern ohio. shiners work good for smaller channels. i've never hooked anything over 8 with shiners. And they usually only work in the spring when cats prefer softer baits. You could always try finding fresh bait. If you are unable. you can usually find teens at the river that can find some.

I caught a little one off a live shiner Saturday night. I like big chubs and shiners, I just don't use shiners enough give you good advice on them
