Hello my name is james and iam from Surprise AZ. Iam new to Catfishing and i love it!!!! I target Channel Cats and ive got a few but gotta learn more so i can get bigger ones then try Flatheads. I was doing well till this cold weather came in and now im having trouble targeting the kitties and i keep getting skunked. Any tips on fishing in the winter from shore would be great

Welcome James. Things are very slow right now. 90% of us are from ohio and everything is a bit frozen over. Come spring this page will be hopping. I have definitely spent some time targeting channels. To help you out better I could use some details. Is it just a cold front or winter time drop. What kind of water temps ya looking at. I can go from redneck temps too. bout freezin, or pretty chilly, or we just gonna wait a few more days to go swimmin. Also a huge help is type of water. lake, river, upland res. or pond. And water conditions can sometimes come into play. And air temp

not trying to scare ya. But after many years of chasing channels I've learned that all of these affect them on a small level. some things on a major level. Any info helps. Not all is necessary but being on the opposite end of the country it can be hard to know what your going through. That and I love to talk about catfish
