My girlfriends dad collects fishing equipment (all kinds antique and junk), and this morning he showed me a Sears Levelwind reel. It almost looks like an old penn levelwind reel but its shaped in a tear drop. It looked ancient, anyone ever heard of one? It was black, had a star drag, and a bait clicker. I was unaware that sears made fishing reels.

Sears made a lot of reels.Under the Sears name,Ted Williams and I think j.c Higgins were theirs too.Nothing noteworthy I can think of,but good beaters.

I know an old timer I used to fish with that had either a Sears or JC Penny levelwind years back. Dunno what them old reels are worth? But, gives ya alittle appreciation for what you use now! rollo

Ya never know though. They might have some type of value. Makes for good conversation pieces next to the lamp on the stand though... rollo
