Has anyone used these rods? And what do they think about them? Rippin lip rods, Denali rods, bigcat fever rods.

Ive never used any of these rods. Seen a lot on them recently on Facebook. I have a demo rod im going to be trying out here soon. Warrior cat rod. Nothing was spared on quality components. I have the medium heavy right now. Would definitely be great for blues and open water flatheads. I have to put it to the test on some shovelheads near structure. Feels like it would be great for circle hooks with the softer tip but have to wait to see how it will do for setting a j hook.

Will be putting the Denali Bottom feeders to the test. But the Big cats and the warriors are new rods. Only a couple months old now.

Kip would you say that rod is a fast action mh (more towards a medium action) or slow action ( leaning more towards a heavy action)? I been looking into these

Robby and I used the rippin lips rod last season. Worked very well. I caught some nice flatheads on it. For the price nice flathead rod. Purchased it at cabelas. 50 bucks. We used the heavy action.

Its got a stiff backbone but a lot of bend through almost half the rod under heavy pressure. I definitely would be more into the heavy action thats being released soon. This rod would be great for the channel cat tourneys because its light but stout enough to catch big flathead. 70 pound fish have been cauggt on them with video. Ill check around to get vids.

Thanks Kip I think I will wait for the heavy as well. I am sure it's great for circle hooks from a boat but a little to much action for my liking.

I used Rippin Lips Medium for guiding all last year. 7 rods in the rotation and a bit over 7 tons landed with no issues. Great rods for the money..If they survive me and my guests they can survive anybody.

Bought a few of the Denali bottom feeders last year and like them a lot. Landed a few 30 pound flats 40 blue and a 25 lb striper no trouble at all. Only faults for me wish they were all white and metal locking ring for real.

I love the Whisker Seeker Rods. They’re light, strong and have great sensitivity.
