We have had multiple nights flathead fishing over the years catching in the double digits. I think its because we move soo much in a nights time when fishing the river systems though. rollo

Three in one night is a personal best for me, when you only count fish over 5lbs. This happened to be on a lake, I don't fish rivers very much. We had one night when we probably caught a dozen 1-3 pounders on night crawlers while fishing for channels. I'm still getting into the grove of things, so I imagine this year I'll best that number no problem. (3 over 5lbs that is)

9 on a lake biggest that nite was 37lbs. 17 on a river, biggest that nite was 20lbs, that was with me and another person both nites, me only would be 5 at lake and 8 at river.

5 or 6 in 4 or 5 hours from what I can remember, not including channels.

Don't worry fishstick11. I fished for catfish for four years before catching my first non-paylake flathead. I didn't know what I was doing, I assumed all catfish ate nightcrawlers and shad. I then started doing some reading on flatheads, I then began fishing spots that weren't over fished. Soon the pieces kind of fell into place. The best advice I can offer you is to take in as much information that the guys on this forum give you.

The most I caught in 1 night is probably about 5 on the Muskingum. We also caught about 4 channel cats!
