Hello! My cousin and I were catfishing at the headworks in Genoa, NE. He pulled a gallon jar of the smelliest stuff I've ever smelt in my life. But heres the catch.....the stink bait was covering these strips. Now, these strips stayed on the hook perfectly. They were tough, and even after the stink bait wore off it was still driving these cats crazy. My cousin refuses to tell me what it is....so, I thought I'd ask some seasoned pro's. I'm not so interested in the stink bait mixture as I am with what that amazingly tough but yet soft stuff was on my hook. It's not calamari either. I've done extensive research and I have gotten nothing but dead ends. Thanks in advance!

Once the stink bait was cleaned off them what did they look like. And what was the texture was it like a nylon, fabric or more like a meat like calamari
