Good place to put a hook in a live carp to keep a live for a long time? Someone have a picture we appreciate any advice.

If you are fishing for flatheads right through the lips is a good way to go. From the bottom up that way the hook point is up and has less chance of getting hung up. This is also a good rigging for moving water as it will keep the mouth facing the current once the weight catches bottom and the won't drown as fast. If your not in moving water right behind the dorsal is where I always hookem, no matter what species
