Hello all, new guy from NC just stumbled across site looking for reviews on Charlie Brown hooks and figured y'all would be best ones to ask. Always used gama's, j's for live and circles for cut just wondering if they were magic trick for both? Like to target anything big with whiskers! Fish lakes around KnoxvilleTN and Santee in SC

Charlie Browns are excellent hooks, I have used them with blue gills and goldfish. Hook up have not been a problem with them. A Daiichi D84Z is almost identical to a Charlie Brown a Daiichi D85Z again is identical except it is offset. Another thing to keep in mind is a 7/0 Daiichi is the same size as a 9/0 Charlie Brown..

Wow you live in the mecca! I like kahles for a middle ground. You can use them with clickers like a j hook or locked down with a little drag slip like circles. They are the perfect middle ground. A nice kahle hook gives you the ability to run a sleeker hook and still keep a open gap for big baits.

Thanks guys just got a pack of 10/0 in from bottom dwellers! Gonna try n bluff the weather tomorrow on watts bar and see how we do with them. With some luck I'll try to post some pics... if I can figure out how to post pic!

Struck out today, bunch of dinks. 10/0 Charlie browns did pretty good considering we were catching 1/2 to 3 pound blues on 1/4 of a skip jack though!

I heard the Charlie Browns are good hooks. I have been testing the Whisker Seeker Octo circles seem to be the sharpest by far out of the pack compared to TC Double action. Just got the New Triple threat hooks from Whisker Seekrs haven't been able to use them yet.
