Hello everybody,
Been reading a lot of posts as a guest, figured I needed to go ahead and join the forum.
I've been fishing off and on for most of my 63 years but my fishing partner (my 13 year old grandson) and I have pretty much decided to target only catfish starting this spring.
We've done pretty good so far with our limited experience at fishing for catfish, catching mostly channel cats and a few flatheads.
We're located in the Nashville, Tennessee area and have several reservoirs and tributaries to the Cumberland river to fish from.
I have a 1986 Alumacraft FD-15 with an old Evinrude 15 to fish from. Not a terrible boat to fish from, but it needs some updating, especially some rod holders.
We've retired my old Johnson Century and Citation reels along with my old Mitchell 301 that I've had since I was 14 and collected several Ambassador 6000's that we're still learning how to cast.
Looking forward to meeting some new friends and learning more about catfishing.

Cumberland holds some big blues too from what I hear. Big chunks of cut bait should do the trick.
Welcome
