Yeah bro. Mono does have a draw effect. I prefer braid over mono lake fishing primarily because when casting or running baits out at long distances to make drops on certain spots, I don't want the stretch mono gives ya on long hooksets. Also at long distances you still have the sensitivety with braid. Lots of pros and cons, but for float fishing I prefer braid such as Power Pro and Fireline Tracer... rollo

Ok i have a problem and i think i have a fix to my problem let me know what you think........I make homemade slip float's outta pool noodles run a dowel rod through the noodle and glue it into it and have a hole drilled into the noodle then you have a hole in the bottom of the noodle big enough for your sinker to go into but sometimes it gets stuck inside doing you no good to keep bait down so my idea is this rig noodle float then add a straw,sinker,bead,barrel swivel and leader and hook this way your sinker hits the straw and dose not slide into the flaot getting stuck? what do you think?
