Ok Guy's hear is my ? ......With the weather being like it has been for the last month do you think the Flathead's will be moving, hunting & hitting bait's in the lake's come the end of April?
1.........Would you target them with live bait or cut bait? 2.........How would you fish them? 3..........Where would you look for them this time a year? 4..........What live bait would you use for them?
I have my answer's from last year' but the condition's are not like last year so far at all i was just wondering what y'all might have to pick as for answer's ?

I would more use cutbait it seems i have better luck over live this time of year. I would look for them more in the shallow parts because thats where the sun warms the water quicker than the deep 20 ft deep holes.

I'd like to think there is a set pattern, but this time of year many crappie guys hook and lose and land flatties while fishing for crappie in shallow water, but I know last year I had one in 17 ft of water and from 10ft. I'm sure the best thing to do is just spend the time trying different things. We all know that because you fish a spot one night getting skunked it doesn't mean the spot has no flats in it. With all this new rain water washing in, I'd hit feeder creek areas. I'm no expert of course.

I would guess 15-18lbs, the head was about 8 inch wide and it had a nice belly. I have been targeting a bank full of root systems where the channel is within casting distance. I can fish the channel, slack between bank and channel, or the bank. This one hit right in the channel
