I found a Guy with ABUNCH of old Penn reels...r they worth anything? Haven't seen em yet but he claims they are all in good working order and someof they are actually collector items which sounds weird to me....any input? The price defidently seemed right....thanks in advance guys!

You might get some value for very specific ones. I'm not an expert but the few times I've looked into them, I didn't see much worth unless it was antique or some fancy model.
I also might be completely off base too. If you know any of the models, do a quick ebay search.

Ya know i always wanted a penn reel buddy? lol I wish I had known that Varmint. I had two I would have given ya, but I sold them this winter. I hated them for shore castin.

Why are they not the best for bank fishing? I am thinking of buying a Penn Warfare size 15 in level wind.

Those were the old trolling reels.
The warfare is an excellent reel for bank or boat.
