Just got a call from a friend of mine stating that he heard there was a 78# caught out of a MWCD lake. Has anyone else heard of this or can it be verified?

I have seen various posts on other forums that claim that a record was caught. You may or may not have seen my posts, they went something like this.
If a fish was caught that was a record it would have been witnessed by a ODNR official and weighed on a certified scale. Either of those events would have allowed for a better picture of the fish than the one off of a camera phone. In my opinion its highly unlikely that it will be a certified record, whether or not the fish in the picture was 78 or not that's a whole other story.

I have not heard of this yet but i assure you if it was true it would be on the new's in my area, I sure hope it is me or 1 of my fellow freak's that catch the new ohio rec. flathead catfish just so i can say hey i know that guy who caught it lol keep me posted though please?

the fish was 78.6lbs caught at seneca lake saturday night guys last name is cox the seneca lake fish hatchery has the fish it was a female and they are milking the eggs out of her.
