Went out and fished a local MWCD Lake with my good buddy Dave-rcbbracing..... And it all went down like this got there and try ed to catch bait not a 1 for the 1st 30min's of being there then BAM it was like a light switch went off i got 14gill's from under 1 rock got 6 channel cats apx 12in long there went into the bait tank also and i landed 1 Flathead on the bait rod went maybe 2 or 3 lbs....No on to the good part's ......We had NO run's after dark and no fish caught after dark idk what happened spawn must be on or something ? Was the 2nd time i have been checked for a fishing lic at this lake and the 1st time getting checked at 12:30am then apx 2am i look up and see a coon trying to steal bait outta the bait bucket so i scare him off only to have him come back and bee eye level with me and hissing and growling up a storm kinda cool yes Dave was sleeping so he missed all the action but he told me if he want to sleep i would catch a Flathead well i guess he was not sleeping deeply enough lol on a side note DAVE .........7-9-2009 was the 1st flathead of the year we pulled off this spot guess i should have looked at my note's before we left lmao hope you do better tonight be safe buddy and thank you all for reading .....Sniper

Rollo.......It was a fun time, was very happy to see my old friend and chill and do some fishing with him, The coon's were good way to pass the time , Hopefully this Fall will be better for all of us and like you say Rollo can't catch them from the couch .........Sniper

Will we get checked there all the time man. every time i have been anywhere on that lake this year we have been checked at some point throughout our time there. i am not sure if they are having problems there or if they are simply cracking down a bit more

Skyline......... That was only the 2nd or 3rd time we had a dry run on that lake it really surprised us a lot. ..........Sniper

i am wanting to get the boat out there. we always do real well on the water. we have gotten 0 flats from the bank there so far this year. I had one real good run early in the year straight into a snag and that has been it. we been killing channels there though which is pretty common i assume.

other than few 12in channels while bait fishing we had NO channel cat runs all night no channels caught was very surprised

All nigt we heard big fish popping the surface bit no taker's on our lines come to think of it i should have tried to fix a bait above a branch and just keep his tail outta the water and seen if i could have gotten a flat to hit a surface bait
