Fellow member and friend Steve Carlson (Catace) will be fishing in the Cabelas King Cat Classic here in a few days, let's all wish him luck and a safe trip. Hope you do well and get your limit buddy! The Classic is being held in Burlington, Iowa pretty good trip from PA.

Thank you everyone! Cant wait 5 days and nights of pre fishing and living on the boat! Leaving Fri. night and should be there Sat couple hours before dark (14hr drive). Never fished a tournament this big or a river this huge (Heck Ive never been past Columbus Ohio) Hope I can find some quality fish before next Fri and catch some fish species that we don't have around here. The thing I am looking forward to the most is taking In all of surroundings on the river and the scenic drive. Man am I tired of looking at it on google maps for the last 3 months  My wife is great she is taking a train next Wed at midnight to come out and should be there at 6 pm Thur. Her birthday is next Fri. and she is going to spend the day on the water fishing with me in the cold! Just hope she can fish Sat morning after we go out on the town Fri night Thanks Again Everyone I will need all the Luck I can get |

Had a Blast didn't finish near the top maybe next time? I enjoyed every minute of my trip put over 150 miles on the boat and another 2000 on the van and took every minute of it IN! Didn't catch any thing new. My wife caught her 1st catfish 5lbr on Fri. We didn't fish day two of the tournament went out Sat morning and the boat was full of 30 gal. of gas. The side of my tank got a crack in it and drained out. I never checked the brackets holding it down since mid summer. Hit every wally world and weld shop with in 150 miles Sat. morning for a replacement or to get it fixed and everyone was out or closed. Lesson learned I now own two 6 gal. plastic tanks! Either way I had lots of fun and Glad I had the chance to experience it. Happy to be home to see my boys and be able to take them Trick or Treating tonight.

That's awesome man, tell her congrats! For her to hold it too. Got ya a good one Steve! She fished back when we were dating a couple of times but that was 20 years ago when she reeled in her last fish mostly walleyes and stripes. But she does help bait and cast the kids pools. If you notice I had to hold it with my thumb in its mouth she just wasn't up to putting hers in it lol but has no problems holding them except this one was extra lively ;D |
