I recently got two used reels for Christmas and was hoping to hear a review or two...they are called Abu Garcia 650 plus ultra cast... from what I have read on them they are the same as a 6500 and have a bushing instead of bearings and appears the star wheel and a few other things are plastic so apparently a shade cheaper made...anyone ever use these or know anything further about them? Seem to be completely identical to a 6500 dimensionally even side plates and stuff are interchangeable... the drags seem to be decent from what I can tell...not a huge fan of bushing reels but they are used but seem estheticly new and real tight...thanks for any info guys...

It's the same thing pretty much as any 6500 reel except it has bushings instead of bearings. Is this what it's looks like David?

I seen quite a few prices and they were selling around 60 bucks in great shape. Couldn't find a new price. I seen some guys that were upgrading them to 6500c3s for pretty cheap. Changing the bushings out for bearings. For 40 bucks though u can't complain. I'd take them to my reel guy and have them gone through, he would fix anything going bad for cheap.
