Caught a few last year ice fishing, only went ice fishin once this year and we targeted gills and crapy.

I wanted to go out for some ice cats this year, but kept having to cancel plans. What tips do have to find em under the ice? What kind of rig/bait are you using? How do you drift fish in a small hole?

im a ice catter as well i generaly know the ponds i fish pretty well so i target deep spots as well as deep structre sound the bottom and rig it up with live chubs or shiners directly on bottom last year we managed 3 nice keepers that was but only had 1 day for cats, i usually run a 12in leader with inline barrel swivel and a decent hook nothing like u would use for flats cause u might catch a bass as well
