I know if my grandpa hadn't introduced me to the great sport of catfishing I might have never got into my favorite hobby/obcession...we used to go every single weekend from like march till november...who inspired you guys to start up? Or did you figure it out on your own?

Been around it my whole life all 40 years. Dad owns a bait/tackle/blackpowder shop. So my inspiration/knowledge came from him and all the customers over the years. Reeled in my first fish (bullhead) @ age 1 and carried on the tradition to my little ones they all got there 1st fish @ age 1 also.

My dad did a lot of fishing back when I was little and my aunt had a big pond out the road. We were out there all the time. I think I was 2 when I caught my first fish. As I got a little older I spent every possible day at the pond or creek. I caught some giant channel cats growing up out there. 18#s was my biggest and many 6 to 7# largemouth.

Growing up I was fortunate to be taught the ends and outs of fishing from my father, uncle, and another older fella that was a diehard fisherman. Over the years growing up I was able to meet others that were hardcore cat guys also, and learned alot from them as well. I was inspired to learn as much as I could from them, and take that knowledge to the water and put it to use for myself. Although I have learned many things over the years by simply spending time on the water by myself, I do credit them for many aspects in my learning and knowledge I still have that will last a lifetime. I look to pass that on to my kids some day when they are old enough to learn and are ready to go.... rollo
