OK Like an idiot I took mine a part last night so I could clean the washers and respool with new line. So as Im taking it apart the little 1/2 moon clip that keeps the handle on when you take the main screw off kind of went somewhere and I cannot find it. Do any of you have an extra one that I can get from you or it not really needed just have to keep watch when I take it apart again (which will probably be never ;D

An old 5000 probably wouldn't have the same size piece would it? If it does I MIGHT have what you ate looking for...

I lose them all the time. I would put one back just in case the handle nut lets go (and they do) that little e-clip is the only thing that prevents the handle from coming completely off. No clip on an handle cost me a nice fish one time when the handle came off in my hand and later ended up in the river. Man I was P O'ed at myself for that one. You can get the clips cheap from Garcia or even Ebay.

I bought a box of e-clips from tractor supply a few years ago. It was a variety pack with all sorts of sizes, and I have since used one or two for my abu's. I think I paid 10 bucks for the box but i'm sure you can find one cheap. Also ac rbcracing mentioned, look to junk reels, most baitcast reels will have a e-clip.
