This is a cool little peice of equipment that is very useful for those who are using large spinning combos looking to get some good long distance casts. It completely eliminates the use of the index finger during casts so that you dont cut or chew up your finger exspecially when using heavy braid. Many of the people i fish with use them including myself, it is very easy to use and i can't imagine using my spinning rig without it! It really allows you to put maximum effort into your casts becuase you dont have to worry about slicing through your finger! you attach it to the bottom of your rod ahead of the bail (make sure you test with bail closed) open bail have cannon in open position wrap twice around cannon knob, close the cannon and take up slack and you ready to cast. It takes a couple casts to get the hang of it but in less than a day or nights' fishing you will have the hang of it.
