Is that the 2 piece rod? I believe Rcbbracing had the same setup and broke the rod in half on a flathead. The 7000i's are decent reels but have only one bearing or bushing and has the basic washer drag. I know alot of guys that use them with no problems. But I've seen a ton of problems with the clickers also with these reels.

Reels are great. I had two of the older ones, 1990 models. Clickers were stiff and loud, good for using big live baits for flats, or when fishing clicker in heavy current. I found that the stiff clicker had is pros and cons, but definately a good reel overall.
I traded them off for a 7000c3 and a 7000ics pro rocket. Only differnece between the models is smoothness...if that's a word. The drags are smoother and casts and reels smoother. Whether or not its worth 50 to 60 bucks to be smoother, I don't know.

I was going to post the rod on another website that I haven't used in sometime. But now you have to be a paying member to have those privileges and now I have been banned for ever, for something called conflict of interest. I don't have a clue what that means. I guess you have to pick sides these days. Its all good.

I don't usually cast very far. 90% of the time if I'm anchoring I just cast maybe 25 yards max. I don't use clickers much just need something that has more pull than these 5600c4's.

The rod is very stiff and the clicker switch popped off the first time I reeled with it engaged I think it will be O.K. I can probably get 15 or 20 bucks for the rod. I don't usually use clickers I ended up giving $65.00 for it. If I can sell the rod for $15 I'll have $50 bucks in it.

One heck of a deal chuck...I always liked the 7000i's I never noticed a HUGE difference in casting distance...
