Have you had much chance to use this yet? I’d like to buy one rather than make another since this one costs half what I paid to make one, but I was wondering how well this one will hold up to abuse. Nothing I own gets babied, except my kids. The fiberglass tent poles really concern me when weighing a 60 lb fish that’s not happy to be in there. Can it be disassembled and washed? How’s the stitching, I figure that’d be the first thing to go. How heavy is the nylon?

Havent had any 60# fish in it yet, only a few at the 30 pound mark. So far its held up fine. I did weigh amanda in it and shes 125, i just had her get in and i lifted her off the ground a foot. I didnt let her kick and scream though. The nylon is good, stitching is good...the only problem so far is that its a little tight when putting the tent poles together and pulling them apart. There is a certain way to wiggle it and get it to work though.
The tent poles come out and the sling can easily be washed.

I need to get one of these. They say your not supposed to hold big fish vertical to wiegh them, it can rip a big fishes guts and kill it.
