Abu Kalex 60s

Picked up 4 Kalex 60s with the power handles for Channelcats from Dave. Really impressed in the feel of these reels a lot more tight and solid than expected. I'm sure they will do great for any channelcat swimming! Also picked up a 1# spool of the Hi-seas mono 25#.

They are great reels Kip. They can handle the big boys too. My pb blue and flat were both on my kalex 60....must be good luck.

I just ordered the Kalex 60 from bottom dwellers w/ the power handle. I have been searching for a all around work horse for a few weeks. The kalex 60 looks to be a great buy and I took into account your thread about bottom dwellers when I ordered them. (So they owe you thanks!). What kind of cat rods are you matching up with your Kalex 60?

I found it randomly on the internet and when I joined this site i read your thread again... I decided to buy from Bottom dwellers and I am glad I did after I talked to big Dave over the phone-he knows his fishing gear and has a great personality with a solid work ethic. I have been thinking about putting the Kalex 60 on a lite salmon/steelhead rod or the catfight rod from Dave.
