i would look for some deeper water 12-15 feet and look for any structure, humps or rock piles and fish around them, i saw a big one at knox last week rushing the bank after dark in 3-4 feet of water so its hard to tell for sure but after the cold front i would think they would be a bit deeper, good luck, id also try some smaller baits 6-10 inch suckers and 3-5 inch gills work well for me in the fall, ive also caught several on cut shad

I like v bottoms myself but I don't river fish a lot, if you get out on a lake with some waves rolling you will find out why, the starcraft would work well for you with your vehicle it would tow it, good luck at finding what you want

my friend matt stopped out this evening to bs a while, he dropped his son and a few of his buddies off at the spillway to fish, got a call about 10:30 said they had a problem, big flat on and they were up on the wall, so we grabbed the big net n flew over there, only 5 minutes from my house, and got the fish netted and up, was 42 1/2 inches long, didn't have the scale but close to 40lbs, the kid that caught it Damien, this was his first flat, he was shaking pretty badly lol, we got some pics and got it released in good shape, ill try and post pics later if I can
