Randy did save our arse that morning. On the way to weigh-in we had some electrical issues. He didn't have come help us out. And we def. wouldn't have made weigh-in. Goes to show that there are good people out there, and its more about friends and the sport than the money like some... Thanks again bro. I owe ya! rollo

I don't think so within reason! LOL.. Actually, we have caught big fish on small livebaits, small fish on big baits, and big fish on big baits. Benefits of using big baits are they make more vibration often attracting fish from further away. Flatheads are predators and arent affraid to ambush fish that might be their size. We often use 1 to 3 pound baits as well.. My opinion is that good and lively is key when livebait fishing flatheads! rollo

I got alittle story to share about Luckey as well. We were anchored up one night across river from Ole Big Cat as he was setup on a bank spot fishing a local tourney we were in. Light got dim on the bank after awhile, and a few hours later we sat there in our boat to hear Randys clicker play the prettiest song you've ever heard! The birds even joined in the early morning to make a duet. We sat there for several seconds waiting for a light, movement or any noise! NOTHING! Hey Randy!......? Randy??? At one point we thought he was gonna get spooled! Then the sound of the zipper on the tent.. All sudden.. in the nights darkness and fog we hear the sound of a whipping pole in the wind followed by the obvious splashing sound of a hooked fish! Me and my partner busted out laughing! Get Him Randy Get Him! LOL.. rollo P.S. We assumed it was the sound of the zipper of the tent!

Very good point Jason. I learned this the hard way also. I prefer stainless guides for braid. Actually, its getting to the point, I prefer them even for mono. Tired of replacing inserts myself! rollo

Guys, Im seriously thinking about buying a marine radio for my boat being I fish the Ohio River often, and deal with barge traffic. Also, would be fun to poke at some locals on the small rivers when were out and about I can get the trend started. What do you reccomend as a good radio for the price? Thanks... rollo
