Make sure you go over your equipment before and during a trip!!! Details=Knots are good/tight,line not fraid or nicked, hooks are sharp, double check to make sure everything is in working order with rod and reel. This is Rivers and Lakes

I like to use alligator clips and put airline/aerator tubing over the teeth for a release. It should work from the bridge. But seams you would have allot of line out before the clicker would go off. When a fish hits it would have a better chance of snagging or wrapping up on something with the extra line? If your worried about your float drifting to much add a sinker to the bottom of your rig so the sinkers drag or holds with the float.

How do you guys get your shad, do you cast net for them somewhere or what? I used a castnet @ the causeway.

Ive caught alot of channel cats in my life and have seen Some cats every year that are pooping weeds no big deal. Sat. night I caught 25 channels every cat was pooping weeds to the point they were blowing out their you know whats . Anyone know why this might be happening? Are they just that hungry they are sucking everything up in the weed beds? Or are they trying to get plankton or something like eggs off the bottom? I just never seen every cat do this before. Thanks Steve
