Has anyone used this line and had good luck with it. I am trying to get an order with dave. As far as abrasion resistance and castability.

This will be my second year running Hi-Seas. I was always a big fan of Big Game till I started using this. The Hi-Seas don't have as much stretch, not as much memory, better abrasion resistance, the whole package. I run the 50# which is prob over kill for most but even the 50 still casts well. Ill never use another brand of mono again. I tell ya what if your not 100% satisfied with your purchase ill buy you a new spool of whatever you want. I'm that confident in this line!

I have used the 50lb. high seas Quattro and high seas leader material the last two years it is awesome like Kip said. My grandson Colton brought in a 42lb.4oz. Flathead across concrete and rocks. The same fish had broke off 63lb. Mason bigcat braid a half hour before. The beast still had the hook, leader, swivel, and line hanging out of it's mouth when we got it landed. Kip and Rollo witnessed this happening,we were all amazed with this lines performance. If you look closely at this picture you can see the hook and line hanging from the fishes mouth.

same here I like it much better than big game. less stretch and much better castability. i run the 50, 30 and 25. 50 is on all my flathead rigs other is on channels. I wont be using another brand until someone tops it.
been using it for 2 years also

I have used Big Game for years! I do still have alot of faith in it also. I did just purchase a one-pound spool of Hi-Seas 40lb. mono. for this season. Have heard nothing but good things about this line. And from little experience I have been around it, haven't seen it not stand up yet. Anxious to use it an entire season through some rugged conditions and see what I think... rollo

I have been using big game for years myself, as well as the xl for a couple of channel rods to get distance out of. I just ordered 8, 12, 15 and 30 pound high seas. Will give it all a gomaround and see how it does.
I would have stuc, with trilene, but dave does not carry the xl line, and I would rather give him as much as my business as possible.I have only seen one bad review on high seas, and that one said it had low memory and the line just coiled, off the reel? I guess someone should learn how to spool a spinning reel before giving a product a bad review .

my buddy got a spool of the yellow 60 and it had a ton of memory. but who needs 60 anyway. the 50lb has very little memory and casts like a champ and has all the power you will ever need. typically mi sinker slide wire bends before the line breaks

The Hi Seas 40 lb. test feels like Big Games 30 lb. test in my opinion. I was amazed how well it spooled on, and I'm gonna order some more in the 50lb. Anxious to put this line to the test this year! rollo

i got some thirty pound, that seems very good. did you notice that it is hard to get a knot tied in it?, seems the line did not want to slide on itself to tighten up. Even with a ton of spit on it. I ended up putting on a mechanics glove and wrapping around my hand to get my knots to pull tight. I don't think I will have a problem with knots pulling out.
I did get some fifteen for my channel rods for the boat, which has some memory. I got some twelve for channel rods for bank fishing. The castability in my opinion on that anyway is somewhat compromised by the stiffness of the line. I think for those rods I will go back to the trilene xl for castability.
I do like the line, I am pretty sure that I will stick with the heavier line as I don't worry as much about distance with either the boat rods or flathead rods.

Kind of like a palomar or trilene knot. Throughthe eye, wrap around about seven times then through the loop by the ye and pull tight.
