Looks like we just lost our chance to get out and fish the rivers. This wave of storms is going to have them blown out for the weekend. Water temps where just now getting warm. Seems like this happens every spring.

That's a shame Sean! I was really looking forward to fishing this weekend! The streams up here all lead to the Muskingum and they are way over there banks! Looks like I might hit a lake maybe!

Yea I was planning on hitting the Scioto looking for new holes and doing a little channel/bass fishing while I was at it but those plans look ruined. I'll be hitting the lakes!

Buckeye normally...I have better channel cat luck there than any of the lakes closest to me. Never really had the best luck at Alum or Deer. I actually just heard that Madison Lake has good channels in it so I'll try it out at some point this year.
I know you guys catch a lot out there at the Muskingum lakes but that's a pretty long drive for me. I am planning on fishing Salt Fork this year, so I'll post on here when I'm heading out your way.

I lived in sunbury for a year and fished Alum a lot. I've done pretty well there. 16# channels.

Yea I have caught some larger channels there but I've never fished it from a boat and never got very good numbers. I'll be up there a few times this year I'm sure.

I was amazed driving up north yesterday to Sandusky the amount of flooding, and raging systems. It might be high for awhile by the look at things. rollo

Theres carp up in the fields right now down in my grandpas bottoms, the tuscarawas is running out of its banks, I haven't went after the carp with the bow yet but plan to before it drops, the channels are right along the banks and are very aggressive!

We had some pretty heavy rains down here....this time around we got it quick and hard. If the rivers arent flood level they are close. Some of them are close to running up over bridges and roads. This will keep me off the rivers for atleast another week.

We got rained on up here hard too! It sucks knowing all this water eventually flows into the Muskingum. Looks like I'm gonna hit Salt Fork this weekend.
