Yea I have caught some larger channels there but I've never fished it from a boat and never got very good numbers. I'll be up there a few times this year I'm sure.

Buckeye normally...I have better channel cat luck there than any of the lakes closest to me. Never really had the best luck at Alum or Deer. I actually just heard that Madison Lake has good channels in it so I'll try it out at some point this year.
I know you guys catch a lot out there at the Muskingum lakes but that's a pretty long drive for me. I am planning on fishing Salt Fork this year, so I'll post on here when I'm heading out your way.

Yea I was planning on hitting the Scioto looking for new holes and doing a little channel/bass fishing while I was at it but those plans look ruined. I'll be hitting the lakes!

Yea that's what I've been hearing. I've tried out some drifting already this year and I plan to perfect it at some point.

I tried some drifting this past weekend for the first time and the wind seemed to push me at a pretty slow pace without a drift sock or drift bucket. It was kinda windy too. I figured it was because I don't have the biggest boat and it's also pretty heavy being fiberglass. Are the drift socks only to slow you down or do they help keep you straight as well.
