Nice lookin stuff! I'm dying to get out and use some new gear I got this year. I've had a tr100 for years and those things are tough. Hopefully you land some monsters on them this year!

One of my best days I can remember fishing for channels was at Buckeye Lake about 5 years ago before I had a boat. We were bank fishing by the Firefighters campground and casting onto the ice and pulling our baits off and fishing right at the edge where it had thawed. Couldn't keep 2 poles in the water that day.

I agree Sean, I'de definitely pay $8 a reel to have a pro clean out my reels. I know how to do some basic cleaning on my reels but not the fine tuning spots like in the drag and stuff. And if I don't take it apart and put the pieces in order I'll never get one back together. There's a guy at Fisherman's Warehouse here in Columbus who does reel repair. I've had one fixed there and he cleaned it good when he repaired it. Also took a reel there in pieces that I got from somebody and he put it back together for me for like $10.

Sounds good massey I'll def. keep in touch. Hopefully this season we'll have more successful fishing trips than boat wrecks and motor failures.

Good luck in the tourneys Rollo. I plan to fish a few myself this year so we'll see how that goes. I also have a few new spots and ideas I want to try out.

Yea I hope I find some of those big fish holes he's talking about this year. Never really got on anything with much size last year. Got a depthfinder finally so that will help us find some nice holes and underwater structure on the bigger rivers. We've had 4 ppl fishing off that boat at once quite a few times and have a number of wild stories. The boat name was debated for a long time with "Mud Minnow" and "Death Boat" being our 2 options if that gives you a hint.

Here's my $100 boat and trailer. These are pics from last year and I've made a few improvements over the winter. Rigged up some better rod holders because I plan to try drifting this year. And got some better seating this year as well and a buddy made me a Mud Minnow vinal decal to put on the side. All fiberglass boat and it helps when we bang around on rocks and stumps in the shallow Scioto. We try not to spend a bunch on improvements because we don't want to polish a terd. So for the most part if it can be functional cheap we go the cheap route. Put a pretty deep gauge in the front there you can see where we put Bondo on it. Tried lifting the motor and drifting down through a shallow section of the river and that was a bad idea. It had a steering wheel console but the cables and pullys were all rotted and broken so we just cut it out and made more room. Also plan to deck the bottom of the inside of the boat to where it is flat and level.

Here's a few I caught last year. Not the biggest of the year but just some of the pics I had on my phone. Caught this blue down by Galpolis in Racoon Creek. Buddy's neighbor said he had some catfish in his tiny pond so I threw a line out and caught this nice channel. Muskingum River McConnelsville area. Caught it during daylight hours on cut bait while targeting channels. Caught this one on an overcast day not 10ft off the bank in a nice log jam.

Frogg Toggs has a few different types that are nice. I have the mid-range jacket I think it was $25, and I normally just wear waders or Carhart bibs with it. Works fine not too thin or too thick. The Toadz look really nice but are a little more expensive, I think like $70 for jacket and $40 for the bibs at Gander.
